Earth Day Celebration at Escalante Community Garden
TCAA Is a proud supporter of urban agriculture, food resilience, and building up community food systems. TCAA is inviting the community to come and experience these efforts firsthand by throwing an Earth Day Celebration at the Escalante Community Garden Saturday, April 22, from 9-11:30 AM. Paula Hardy, Sr. Manager of Food Systems and a credentialed Nutritionist will be offering tours of the garden space, and informal discussions about the nutritional and medicinal qualities of some of the fruits, vegetables, and herbs currently growing there. Community members will have the chance to take home a piece of the garden, such as potted aloe vera and nopales plants, hand-picked and packed seed packs, and some dried tea and herb mixes.
