 y to come and experience these efforts firsthand by throwing an Earth Day 
 Celebration at the Escalante Community Garden Saturday\, April 22\, from 9
 -11:30 AM. Paula Hardy\, Sr. Manager of Food Systems and a credentialed Nu
 tritionist will be offering tours of the garden space\, and informal discu
 ssions about the nutritional and medicinal qualities of some of the fruits
 \, vegetables\, and herbs currently growing there. Community members will 
 have the chance to take home a piece of the garden\, such as potted aloe v
 era and nopales plants\, hand-picked and packed seed packs\, and some drie
 d tea and herb mixes.
