Building Resilience

Building the Future

“For nearly 60 years, I have witnessed TCAA’s evolution to become the East Valley’s most significant and diverse safety net for East Valley residents in need. TCAA’s Building Resilience Campaign will not only transform and innovate how human services are delivered, it will build TCAA its first permanent home so they can reach even more people. Please join me in supporting their efforts with a gift to their capital campaign.” —Jenny Norton

Building Resilience

Since 1966, TCAA has stood as more than a human services organization; it has served as a source of hope and a vital partner to East Valley businesses, public and private organizations, and neighborhoods in their time of need.

The Building Resilience campaign will fuel our capacity to help vulnerable individuals and families achieve their greatest potential.

The Campaign will build a 23,000 square foot facility on the border of Tempe and Mesa.  This new facility will serve as an East Valley regional hub for human services. The new space will feature green technologies, all-inclusive and trauma-informed design elements, and be fully accessible. The new hub builds on the nearly 60 years of TCAA' s service to local neighborhoods while expanding to meet the everchanging and growing needs of our diverse East Valley communities.

The Campaign will create a single integrated environment with a comprehensive array of programs and services on-site. Participants will be able to move on an accelerated path from crisis to stability, and ultimately to resilience.

Campaign Goals

  • Provide quick and seamless on-site help with multiple human service programs
  • Expand homelessness prevention and economic mobility programming

  • A shift from community-based I-HELP shelters to permanent emergency and medical respite beds, plus transitional housing for adults and seniors providing 80 beds
